You take exit 78 heading Itú, and in a few minutes you see indications to the city.
This is a historic city that has its importance because of the Bandeirantes (old explorers) and the sugar and coffee cultures in centuries XVII and XVIII. You can visit interesting museums and churches from that age. Itú has also 3 major squares in downtown. One of them is crowded of giant objects like a semaphore and a public telephone. In the surrounding stores you can find a big variety of giant souvenirs.
In the other square there is a lot of pleasant bars you can stop for drinking a juice or an ice cream in the evening.
